Thanks so much for posting your favorite camp 2009 camp memories. It is really fun to recall those great moments together. I did not get a chance to share mine yet, so I thought I would blog about it today.
Without a doubt my favorite 2009 memory was the fantastic worship!
“I’m singing, You are Holy, Great and Mighty, the moon and the stars declare who You are. I’m so unworthy, but still You love me. Forever my heart will sing of how great You are.”
Every time I sing those words, I have the amazing picture of a still black night, with the clearest, brightest, full moon hanging low, reflecting over the water. As I stood on the deck over looking the field, tears streamed down my face and I heard the purest sound behind me. Together, on the top of your lungs, you praised your Creator, Father, Friend. With the greatest of God displayed in that beautiful moon, I felt so unworthy. What a night!

Yeah those services always get to me, can not wait 5 more months….
That Wednesday night worship at camp ’09 sure was an awesome and memorable night. I haven’t forgotten about it, and never will. The Ultimate Frisbee game afterwards was also amazing. Camp Timberledge as a whole is priceless, but camp ’09 was practically a piece of heaven.
