This past year we heard an excellent message from Pastors Eric an Craig about living our lives without regret. As a precursor and illustration to this message, Pastor Craig recorded what some of you wished you could do over. Many of these stories are powerful and have had a significant impact on the people telling them. While watching the video ask yourself:
“How are you doing in living out the message heard at camp this year? Are you living a life that you won’t regret later?”
Name: Liz Elias
Role at Senior Teen 2010: Nurse
Date of Birth: May 13, 1985

Hometown: Whitehall, PA
Favorite Ice Cream flavor: Mint Chocolate Chip
If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you have? Puggle
What was your first car? White Ford Escort
What is the scariest thing you have ever done? Deer spotting in the woods with a Maglight
What is your greatest Camp Timberledge memory? Playing Ultimate Frisbee in the snow!
What are you looking forward to the most at Senior Teen 2010? Meeting new campers
Camper, Counselor, Nurse, and the MOLE are just a few of the many roles Liz has played at Camp Timberledge. Liz waits all year for camp to come around and throws herself 100% into the week. Even at risk of injury, Liz gives the campers, games, and her duties everything she has which should be comforting coming from the nurse. Liz is always ready and willing to do whatever we ask of her come camp time and loves the time spent getting to know the campers.
When not busy with all things camp related, Liz enjoys playing volleyball and hanging out with friends. Liz is a nurse at a local hospital and works on a general medical floor.
Raise your hand if you hate Math class. Sure math was fun in elementary school when you learned about addition with the help of M & M’s or fractions with little pizza diagrams, but now that you are in high school, math sucks. At least it did for me. I dreaded having to sit through class, work on problem after problem, all while trying understand the foreign language coming out of my teacher’s mouth. I think I hated math so much because I just didn’t understand it.

I know it’s not for everyone, but I love history. I love learning about the random facts that make us who we are. Below is an excerpt taken from the Camp Handbook. It is a little history of the camp property and some random facts of what camping looked like in the early years.

Whenever I see this picture I immediately think of the verse, “Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10.
