I wanted to take a moment to ask for prayer.  Camp is an intensely powerful week and there are many areas that need God’s protection and blessing.  Camp starts in 48 hours (47 hours and 55 minutes to be exact) so I ask that you take some time pray for us.  If you are reading this and unable to attend camp, we ask that you pray for us while we are there.  It is an encouragement knowing that people back home are covering us in prayers.

Please pray for:

God’s plan would override ours

God would work in a mighty way, that hearts would be open and that lives would be changed

The campers: that they would arrive safely, have the best week of their summer, experience the truth of God like never before.

The staff:  that they too would experience God in a new way, that they would have the words to speak, the hearts to listen, and the strength to be role models for the teens.

The directors:  Jordan is coming off a week of traveling for work with little sleep.  I ask that we would have the discernment to make the right decisions and to be used by God to do more then just office stuff.

Please pray for safety and the health of the campers and staff.

For the weather (sunshine with a slight breeze with the temperatures in the upper 70′s low 80′s would be nice )

Please pray that friendships would be made, renewed, and become lasting.

Please pray that we do not have to deal with crap (disciplinary action, non-cooperation, etc.) and that we can focus on God’s work that needs to be done.

Pray for everyone once they leave camp.  Coming to camp and leaving on a high is great, but reality sets in all too quickly.  Pray for the campers as they return to less than ideal home lives and school situations.

Above all else pray that God’s will be done!
