About This Blog

This blog is intended to keep the teens, parents and staff associated with Camp Timberledge Senior Teen Week informed and connected with each other throughout the year.   It is our goal to share in the excitement leading up to our week of camp as well as communicate what is happening “behind the scenes” to all who are interested.  Ultimately we would like to see a community built around the amazing and life changing experiences held by campers and staff alike.

About The Authors

Jordan and Joy Martin’s have many fond memories of Camp Timberledge from their camping days — from sleeping in tents, to singing in the old chapel. Having first met each other as campers here, it’s no surprise they eventually married on the shores of Timberledge Lake. But no memories compare with seeing teens who attend camp committing their lives to Jesus Christ.

When they are not planning or attending a camp event, Joy is a stay at home mother raising their beautiful daughter Hannah and Jordan is the Manager of System Administration at a youth behavioral health facility in Allentown, PA.

About Senior Teen Week

Senior Teen Camp is a week geared to high-school student entering tenth grade in the fall through graduating seniors.

While growing in the Christian faith is always the primary focus, the week is packed with contests, games, and recreation that challenge teens both mentally and physically. Directors, Jordan and Joy like to keep campers guessing, “What will they think of next?” That means each year’s program is bigger and better than the one before!

Senior Teen Camp provides an environment where all teens have an opportunity to participate, can be comfortable being themselves, and leave camp having taken one step closer to God. But the excitement doesn’t stop there!

Each summer, campers build strong relationships with each other, and often take a giant leap forward in establishing a real and relevant relationship with Jesus Christ. So in addition to Senior Teen Camp, there is an annual Fall and Spring Weekend Retreat on the camp grounds. This offers campers a chance to reconnect with friends made during the summer and recharge their spiritual life.

About Camp Timberledge

Philosophy: At Camp Timberledge, our mission is to offer a quality Christ-centered summer camp program for the purpose of expanding the Kingdom of God. We believe that a wilderness camp is a unique setting to build Christian commitment, understanding, confidence, maturity, fellowship, and a sense of excellence in children and youth.
