After being a camper for years, Josh is excited to cross over to the staff side.  Josh will be taking care of maintenance, helping out in the kitchen, setting up games and any other assignment the director’s give him.  Basically he will be the guy running all over camp doing everything.

What are you looking forward to the most at Senior Teen 2010? Reconnecting with the awesome people I met through all my years at the greatest place on earth!

Mike “Fetus” is probably the only person to have gotten his nickname from Senior Teen.  When Mike showed up to camp for the first time he was wearing a plastic fetus as a necklace (It was a token from that year’s Creation Festival).  Over the years Mike has taken on many roles at camp but the name has remained the same.  This will be Mike’s second year as a counselor and he couldn’t be more excited.

What is your greatest Camp Timberledge memory? When Andy and Janel led worship, Chris and Cory were on staff, Carly and Ethan were with me and Paul came up and we gave him a guitar.

Next best memory was when my parents brought Andy and Janel up and everyone knew about it except for me…AWESOME SURPRISE !

What are you looking forward to the most at Senior Teen 2010?

This year I’m looking forward to just cooking again like every other year….I look forward to it all year long !

Wendy has been the Senior Teen cook for the past 5 years with her two youngest children Carly and Ethan.  For some reason she keeps coming back.  Wendy endures very hot temperatures and long hours in the kitchen without complaints!  For a few years she did it all without help! Wendy goes above and beyond the call of duty as she tries to make camp meals more than just food in mass quantities.

Wendy has had lots of practice cooking as she is a mother of 5.  We are lucky she practices on them because she brings only the best to camp for us!  When Wendy is not cooking she is busy planning parties, raising Carly & Ethan, and is glued to the TV during American Idol!

Wendy is a very important part of camp.  In her own words, “You feed the kids spiritually, I feed the kids physically.”

Senior Teen 2010 will be Ashley’s first experience with Camp Timberledge and she couldn’t be more excited.  After her husband Steve (then fiance), came home from Senior Teen 2009, Ashley couldn’t wait for her chance to come to camp.  Even though this will be Ashley’s first experience at Camp Timberledge, Ashley is no stranger to teen ministry.  Last year Ashley spent the summer ministering to teens at the beach.

Ashley is currently taking online courses through Liberty University to complete her degree in Woman’s Ministry.  Ashley enjoys working with children and coaching sports.  Ashley is currently working with Athletes for Christ, a local sports program.
